Beached Whale?

I had to keep an eye out for Japanese whale hunters!
Leaving Assisi

just a few more shots as we cruised on...
Can I help you?
Just fill 'er up, mate!
These guys had a strange accent - not typical Italian... South African actually, great company!
Some of the country

It's very open and undulating... and of course plenty of corners to get around!
The Girls

They kept us straight and narrow?
Picnic anyone?

Who said Picnic! - It was great, plenty of food and drink! Top job done by Peter, one of our guides.
Comfort stops

Everyone needs a coffee, hot chocolate or an ice cream! Beware the infamous Italian breakfast coffee - ask for a Cappuccino or Cafe Americana, you'll survive the day then :)
Yeah, it's just 500 metres down the street

More like 5 km down the street, lucky we had to work off lunch - eh Gary!
At least we found water!

I'm the one with my friends! :)
Dry Dock?

Let me think!
I don't remember leaving the marina? Must be too much Grapa!
Never say never!

One thing I learnt on this tour was - You never say never!
A great bunch of guys and gals who can ride a motorbike for up to 8 hours a day even if you're climbing up the next hill let alone just over the last hill! LOL
Finally on the road

After our daily briefing we set out.
The countryside in Tuscany is undulating and very scenic with almost a neverending supply of twists and curves, a bikers paradise :)
Hand over that bike!

The fleet ready for hand over. They were mostly BMWs and equipped with saddle bags and usually had a tank bag also.
The front gate
The support trailer awaits deployment at the fonr gate.
Through the trees
The driveway in! As you see really rural Italy....
